Honest Review exists for one moment: you have just seen an ad for a product, you are curious, and you want to know whether it is real before you hand over your card details.

That moment is badly served on the internet. Search any supplement or gadget name and you get two kinds of pages — the sales page itself, and a wall of "review" sites that are really just the sales page rewritten with a buy button. Neither one tells you what you actually want to know.

What we do instead

Every product we cover gets the same treatment. We read the company's own sales page end to end and write down exactly what is being promised. We look at the ingredient panel and the dosages, where they are disclosed. We read what buyers say after the first bottle, not just the testimonials the company selected. Then we write a verdict that says who it makes sense for and who should skip it.

Every review page also carries a video walkthrough, because a written page cannot show you the packaging, the label or the checkout flow. The video and the written review cover different things on purpose.

What we are not

We are not doctors, and nothing here is medical advice. We do not test products in a laboratory and we do not claim to. What we do is research, compare and report — the same work a careful friend would do for you if they had the time.

We also do not accept payment for a positive verdict. Companies do not review our content before it goes live, and there is no arrangement anywhere on this site where money changes what a review says.

How we make money

Affiliate commissions. When a review links to a product and you buy through that link, the merchant pays us a percentage. It costs you nothing extra, and it is the reason this site can exist without charging readers or running a paywall.

The honest tension in that model is obvious, so here is how we handle it: the commission is the same whether we recommend a product or warn you off it, and we publish reviews for products we would not buy ourselves. If a page reads like an advertisement, we have failed our own standard — tell us and we will fix it.

Corrections

Prices change, formulas get reformulated, and companies change their refund terms. If you find something out of date or simply wrong, write to us and we will correct it. We would rather be corrected than be confidently wrong in public.
