Independent product reviews Video review on every page Updated for 2026

Editorial Policy

This page describes exactly how a review on this site is produced. It applies to every product, with no exceptions for advertisers or affiliate partners.

1. How a product gets covered

We follow search demand. When a product starts running paid advertising and people begin searching for its name plus "review", "scam" or "does it work", a buyer somewhere needs an answer. That is our signal to publish.

We do not accept payment for coverage, and being an affiliate partner does not move a product up the queue.

2. What we research

  • The claim. We read the official sales page and record the specific promises: the result, the timeframe, the guarantee.
  • The formula. Ingredient list, disclosed dosages, and what published research supports for those ingredients at those amounts. Proprietary blends that hide amounts get flagged as such.
  • The company. Whether there is an identifiable business behind the label, where the product is made, and how long the brand has existed.
  • The purchase. Real price per unit, shipping, whether the discount is permanent, and — most importantly — whether the checkout enrolls you in an auto-ship subscription.
  • The refund. The stated policy, and what buyers report about actually getting money back.
  • Buyer feedback. Independent reviews and complaints, weighted toward what people say after 30 days rather than on day one.

3. How we rate

Our score reflects how well a product delivers on its own promise for the price, not how much we like the category. A well-made product with a modest claim can outscore an exciting one that overpromises.

Scores are directional, not scientific. The written verdict always carries more information than the number, which is why we ask readers to read it.

4. Conflicts of interest

Most products we review carry an affiliate link. That relationship is disclosed on every page that contains one. It does not entitle a merchant to review our draft, approve a score, or request a change after publication.

5. Updates and corrections

Reviews carry an "updated" date. We revisit a review when the formula changes, the price changes, the refund policy changes, or when readers report something that contradicts what we published. Corrections are made on the page itself rather than quietly deleted.

6. What we will not publish

  • Health claims we cannot support, including any suggestion that a supplement treats or cures a disease.
  • Before-and-after imagery presented as typical results.
  • Fake urgency — countdown timers, invented stock levels, or "offer expires tonight" language.
  • Invented customer testimonials.
